Frank Krumm visited the state forest enterprise of Kandern

 

Kandern is a town in the Southwest of Germany, close to the Swiss and French border. Frank Krumm visited the state forest there in Mid-August.

He discussed with the head of the enterprise Martin Gross and the spokesperson for European issues of the green party Baden Württemberg, Josef Frey, about integrative forest management approaches. The delegation visited some forest spots and Dr Gross presented how the local foresters fulfil the request for
multipurpose forests in this highly frequented region. Frank introduced the ideas behind INTEGRATE+ and showed how Marteloscopes can serve to improve the basic understanding of forest
management for a broad audience. As a following step the INTEGRATE+ team has invited the green party of Baden Württemberg to forest enterprise in Ebrach to discuss this issue with a broader audience.
